ECO-X Polyurea

Protective Coatings

Quality spray on polyurea coatings..

Welcome to ECO-X Polyurea Manchester

ECO-X is a spray on protective coating, which is NOW available across the northwest from our base in Manchester.

This spray-on polyurethane liner/coating will protect virtually any surface from impact, abrasion, corrosion, most chemical spillage and premature wear and tear.

As a product, ECO-X is ultimately one of the leading spray on polyurethane coating products on the market, with its high tensile and tear strength, not to mention its high abrasion resistant factor, compared to other spray-on coatings. ECO-X is one of the best performing, spray applied coatings ideal for a wide range of applications including:

All makes & Models of Vans, Land-Rovers, Pick-up Bed Liners, Agricultural Vehicles, Boats, Horse Boxes, Light Industrial Coatings & Water Tanks, bunds, Flat Roofs to name a but a few.

If you would like more information, please contact us on 03330502132/07796066360 or use our contact form and we will contact you as soon as possible.

The use of this technology is not just limited to vehicle beds. The polyurea material can be used on Roofs, bumpers, rollbars, trailers, and entire vehicle bodies. Since the material creates a watertight/airtight seal, it is the perfect finish for boat trailers and boat decks. Stadium and concert speaker boxes are normally made out of wood and can easily be damaged during transportation. ECO-X Polyurea can be applied to the speaker boxes to provide an impact and water resistant coating to protect them against the inevitable damage that normally occurs when being transported from venue to venue. When ECO-X Polyurea is applied it crates a seamless membrane so it protects the joints from water ingress. The ECO-X Polyurea can be applied with a verity of textures from heavy duty to fine depending on the requirements

POLYUREA ROOF COATINGS

polyurea has been used as a roof coating – The high elongation properties make it particularly suitable for seamless flat roofing.

Unlike other forms of liquid roofing which commonly use polyester or polyurethane resins reinforced with chopped glass matt, polyurea is sufficiently high tensile so as not to require this reinforcement.

The spray application of polyurea roofing means that details such as vents, skylights and services can be seamlessly incorporated to ensure a leak free finish. Furthermore it’s completely free from seams and joints.

A properly installed roof has an expected service life in excess of 25 years, providing an excellent return on your investment. This is supported by our meaningful installation warranties.

Unlike EPDM roofing, polyurea can be heavily trafficked and will not puncture or tear easily.

The spray-applied waterproofing system has been further developed over the last 20 years for use in the waterproofing industry for basement waterproofing, tanking, reservoir lining, roof and deck waterproof finishes, concrete and steel protection, tank lining and bund lining

POLYUREA BUND LINING

Polyurea is an ideal material for Lining of containment bunds due to its combination of strength, chemical resistance and elasticity.

The majority of bunds are constructed from concrete or blocks or a combination of the two. The crystalline nature of these materials makes them susceptible to cracking if subsidence or movement occurs. Whilst this cracking may not be detrimental to the structure itself, it will often lead to the inability of the bund to hold liquids in the event of a spill.

Because polyurea materials typically elongate in excess of 300% but up to and in excess of 900%, they can accommodate cracking and movement that may be present in a secondary containment structure without cracking or splitting – thus maintaining fluid tightness. When storing hazardous chemicals this if of critical importance.

There are a vast range of materials available from a range of manufacturers with differing physical and chemical properties – there is no one polyurea that is suitable for all bund linings. As we have been applying this material since 2007 we will use or experience to select the best manufacturer and product for your bund lining project.

Key Points: Waterproofing Applications:

  • Podium deck

  • Roof waterproofing membrane

  • External Type A waterproofing

  • Parking deck waterproof membrane

  • Bridge decks membrane

  • Water retaining pond lining linings and other uses

  • Internal tank lining and protection

  • Waterproof floor coatings including non-slip flooring for commercial and industrial premises

  • Chemical resistant coating for tank and bund lining

  • Retention pond lining

  • Swimming pool lining

  • Encapsulation of hazardous materials such as asbestos

Advantages of the Polyurea Waterproof Lining System:

  • Fast curing, being able to take foot traffic in seconds and vehicular traffic in hours.

  • Strong with high mechanical and abrasion resistance.

  • High elasticity, allowing movement without leaking.

  • 100% Waterproof membrane.

  • High chemical resistance suitable for oils, petrol, acids and many other liquid chemicals.

  • Fast hardening, allowing rapid application and minimal downtime.

  • Very good adhesion on both concrete and metals, even when damp.

  • Vertical and horizontal application using spray application.

  • Hydrophobic and therefore unaffected by damp substrates when creating non-bonded waterproof liners.

  • Can be sprayed at temperatures as low as -30° C with minimal effect on tack free time.

  • Can be built up to any thickness in one application including vertical and overhead applications.

  • The cured elastomer has a high thermal stability with constant working temperatures up to 130° C and intermittent temperatures up to 160°C
